Satellite Glider Matchups |
Aggregate 62 slocum glider deployments from 2013 - 2018 in the North West Atlantic. Reprocessed to include optical data. Glider Optics must have been factory calibrated withing one year of deployment. Data from glider profiles are averaged to one daily profile, and subset to the top fifty (50) meters in one-meter depth bins. Includes matched chl_oc3 chlorophyll and remote sensing reflectances from AQUA-MODIS and SNPP-VIIRS, as well as matched diffuse attenuation coefficient at 490nm (Kd_490) and Photosynthetically Active Radiation (par) from SNPP-VIIRS.

time2 (Calendar date corresponding to the mid point of the profile, used to match to AQUA-MODIS and SNPP-VIIRS variables, seconds since 1970-01-01T00:00:00Z)
latitude (Value is interpolated to provide an estimate of the latitude at the mid-point of the profile, degrees_north)
longitude (Value is interpolated to provide an estimate of the longitude at the mid-point of the profile, degrees_east)
